Hello, it’s Gaia.
And thanks for checking out my blog dedicated to pregnancy over 40 and conceiving over 40 and being one of those “moms over 40″.
Here’s a picture of my pride and joy.
Why’d I create pregnancyafter40.org ?
I just wanted to share my story. After all the struggles I have gone through, I wanted to tell people in a non-clinical way about the joys and challenges of getting pregnant after 40. There’s a lot of material out there, but little that is truly personal.
Who am I?
My name is Gaia Reynolds and I’m (now) a full-time, stay-at-home mom. (It still gives me goosebumps to say that.) I have had a career outside the home, and I plan someday to return to the workaday world. But right now, I’m happy in my role as mother of Gavin, my pride and joy.
My transition from career woman to stay-at-home mom has been long and sometimes painful. Things really started changing for me when a) I decided that I wanted to have a baby; b) I had trouble conceiving after 40; and c) I found a system that seemed to make a big difference.
I went from “trying, trying, trying” to a stress-free pregnancy, which led to Gavin and my current happiness.
Please enjoy my blog.
Gaia
